SUBJECT: THE MOST URGENTLY REQUIRED System Engineer for Oman
A WELL KNOWN GROUP OF COMPANIES
Designation System Engineer
Location: Oman
Experience: 3-4 yrs
Job Responsibility:
1. Installing, configuring, updating and maintaining server software/hardware.
2. Deploy SQL Server data patches to multiple environments.
3. Maintain interfaces between sub-system and rest of system.
4. Data backup management, scheduling and reporting for both internal corporate systems and data center (NOC) systems.
5. Manage and monitor LAN/WAN network services.
6. Work with other team members in Operations, QA, and Product Management to plan the deployment of software releases and continuously improve the web infrastructure configuration processes
7. Bridge the gap between Field Engineer and Senior Systems Engineer.
8. Assist in managing the corporate systems in a racked Windows/Intel environment.
9. Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems as and when they arise.
10. Manage and control the continuous release promotion cycle (manually short-term, through automation long-term) including the following environments: migration, engineering, quality assurance, training, sales, user acceptance testing, staging and production
11. Document all systems operations, configurations, upgrades, processes, procedures, installation, implementation and testing.
12. Assist in the management and support of product integration services with multiple business partners, including real-time web services and batch processing.
13. Assessing where the company stands as far as IT system performance/efficiency, compared to where it would like to be, and compiling recommendations on how to improve performance.
14. Assist in establishing and implementing configuration management program and policies.
